A fantastic collaborative styled shoot based around the famous ‘Wanaka Tree’ in Lake Wanaka.
Here's some visual beauty to enjoy... the result of an amazing collaboration with the super talented Jen from Studio 24 florist, Clare from Cakes of Wanaka and myself. Our bride has taken a moment aside from her wedding and chanced upon an abundance of delights in the forest... Gorgeous cakes and beautiful flowers are everywhere, plus a whole array of vintage objects to browse.
Follow her adventure as the discovers a variety of treasures...
I'm so excited to be launching this fabulous story of love & loss in fabulous vintage Steampunk wedding style. Taking place at The Rippon Hall in Wanaka one Spring afternoon, two ladies prepare for their wedding day to as yet unseen suitors. Little do they know their suitors is one and same for both of them. Watch what happens as the ladies are are torn between their friendship and the lone gentleman who has arrived on the scene.
Getting involved in projects such as this are essential for me to keep my personal creativity challenged and focused. Even a month down the track I'm still buzzing from the whole experience of the shoot.
This sumptuous story was the collaboration of a super talented Wanaka team orchestrated by Tracey from The Vintage Hire Co., Deirdre from Road to Beauty on make-up, Shannon van Walt van Praag on hair and our wonderful models Ashleigh, Miriam and Jamie.. you are all well and truly amazing!
Thanks again to Laura at The Rippon Hall for loan of such a fabulous venue.

With a new logo comes new business cards.... I wanted a simple yet classy look for my cards and I chose letterpress. An older form of printing, every letterpress job is unique and therefore made-to-order. Letterpress printing takes some time as the design needs to be sent out to be made into plate before the printing process can occur. Often the colour of a print job can take a long time and each page is fed by hand.
Printed on 600gsm white super thick card, my beautiful new cards have a deep impression or 'deboss' into the paper and look beautifully textured.
Utterly beautiful and simply gorgeous...
Thanks to Karl from Evilfish Design and all those involved for such a great job.
A colourful and creative start to Monday this week... who can guess what or where these bubbles are?
The world famous artist and architect Frederick Hundertwasser made New Zealand his second home 25 years ago. Chosing the little town of Kawakawa as his place to live, he was commissioned to work on a public toilet there. The whole of the insides of both male and female toilets are a work of art which draws bus loads of tourists on a daily basis.
