As a practicing professional photographer, I love to meet other photographers and to learn from them. A great example of this was a Tony Bridge Landscape workshop in Wanaka. From the 23rd to the 25th September 2011 a group of 11 of us from the Wanaka Camera Club had the fantastic opportunity to have professional photographer Tony come to Wanaka and lead a 3 day workshop for us.
A combination of practical photography in the realm of capturing landscapes and digital software techniques mixed together with a healthy dose of art history and philosophy.
My intention was to learn some new techniques over the weekend plus refresh my creative inspiration. All was more than achieved and I am excited to be looking at my local surrounds in a fresh light. Below are three photos from the second day; a moody early morning sunrise in Bremner Bay, Lake Wanaka.
Tony Bridge is a professional photographer based at Hamner Springs who has been running creative photography workshops for years. Every year he does Winterlight Workshops in the Maniototo, which is where he is originally from. To see more of his images go to his website www.thistonybridge.com.
